Description

The main purpose of the job is to assist drive the organizational strategy and execution in terms of all brand communication in digital media, digital advertising, corporate identity and advertising, social media and group digital properties.

 

Ensures that the business employs the smartest digital channel strategy to connect the right story with the right audience at the right time to drive brand and business objectives 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To formulate and implement digital brand awareness strategies for the group through;

ü  Customer relationship management

ü  Competitive Analysis

ü  Leveraging Marketplace Opportunities

  • Increase brand foot print in the region and beyond in order to Claim or close the market share gap from major competition
  • To manage Corporate Brand

. Sp     Specific Duties:

 

 

  • Assists the GM-Marketing in the implementation of assigned digital strategic marketing initiatives to improve the operating efficiencies of the business across all Digital media, Digital CI, Social networking/media and any other general online activities.
  • Uses the digital platform to marketing and distribute of DLA products.
  • Assists the GM-Marketing in maintaining assigned web environments as it relates to the information management and reporting associated with the sites as well as the functional development of the sites. Specifically, around the Cassava websites and related sites.
  • Updates key content areas of the website fresh and dynamic by seeking out new copy, imagery, audio and video materials.
  • Creates and writes exciting, punchy content suitable for the website, including rewriting/editing content.
  • Develops online content across all digital platforms.
  • Develops scripts and content for online marketing Campaigns.
  • Develops in-house online content generation that includes design, photography & videography 
  • Researches on new technology trends and suggests initiatives related to online communication, ecommerce, social media and customer/ retention programs and makes recommendations to the Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Produces monthly reports evaluating the effectiveness of the websites and social media channels and make recommendations for improvements to the Digital Marketing Manager
  • Submits digital reports to the GM-Marketing detailing the status of all projects and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with media owners. Proof reads and checks content prior to release of advert. Evaluating effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Liaises with selected agencies in identifying the most appropriate channel for building awareness of relevant brand evolving the media strategy, making recommendations on the target group, mediums to be used and identifying key timings

Qualifications

12.2         Education

·         Degree in business (like MBA), marketing or any related field.

o    Post graduate qualification or certification in digital marketing

o    Possess excellent presentation and strong interpersonal skills.

 

12.3       Experience

At least 5+ years’ experience of leading Proven track record of competently delivering large-scale and/or multiple projects at a time.

Prefered Skills

   Data Analysis

Requires a dynamic professional with the ability to analyse data. Data analytics refers to the use of functional techniques and modern software to collect and process extensive collections of data from various online interactions of your target market. These interactions come in different forms such as online transactions, content consumed, search queries, and other online footprints relevant to your business.

 

    Writing and Editing Skills

Ability to connect with your target audience using relevant messages and convincing them to take your desired action. 

 

   SEO and SEM Skills

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) are the strategies responsible for driving traffic to your website. A deeper understanding of it translates to better execution of your marketing strategies.

 

  Active listening skills

An ability to listen to the way your target audience talks about the Doves brand, our products, and services. Social listening will also allow you to gain insight about how your target market perceives our competitors.

 

  Customer Relationship Management Skills

understanding customer interactions and experience, you can connect with them on a personal and emotional level toward improving your business. 

 

   Social Media Skills

Able to use social media to reach our target consumers as these platforms have significantly evolved to accommodate digital marketing needs.

 

Proven skills with social media advertising, boosted posts, hashtags, business pages, groups, etc.
