Responsible for:  The provision of the University’s operational requirements related to information technology infrastructure;  Providing input, recommendations, and architected solutions on IT infrastructure service types including the data and voice network, databases, data center colocation;  Identity management, storage services, backup services, and hardware services;  Overseeing the University's technical staff and will work in conjunction with the ICT Director to propose improvements to the business infrastructure and report progress on various projects.

• Planning, organizing, and coordinating daily schedules for all 4 sites (Main Campus, Astra Campus, FSE Campus, and Town Campus). • Leading a team of Support Technicians in charge of departmental computer laboratories and other ICT equipment • Comply with all standards, procedures, controls, and policies as established by Bindura University of Science Education ICT Policy Document. • Participating in the tender process for the acquisition and supply of ICT equipment and accessories • Co-coordinating and building a good suppliers interface • Ensuring that a complete inventory of supplies and parts is maintained and that all shortages are ordered in a timely manner. • Working in liaison with the security department to ensure the safety of ICT equipment from theft and vandalism

• Providing management and status reports on all requests. • Training of users on the use of ICT packages and technologies • Providing support to a diver’s user community which includes faculty, administrative staff, and students in the proper application of existing or new personal computer software including Microsoft packages and hardware systems; devices; problem resolution; and training and in-service programs. • Coordinating personal computer hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, repair, problem diagnosis, and solution implementation. • Assisting in the processes, by which requests and inquiries related to personal computing, local area networks, wide area networks, host systems communications are received, screened, prioritized, and resolved.; • Installation and Update of ESET Nod 32 Antivirus • Perform other related duties as required.
